John J. Piccione

Piccione, John James, 81, of Middle Island, NY, on December 31, 2025.
John is survived by his children, Dillon and Gavin (Amanda), his sister Bernadette,
and many nieces, nephews and friends.
John is predeceased by his parents, Betty and John Piccione, and his sister Beverly
Stakelum.
John was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran, serving in the US Army. He was the
recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, for Heroism in Ground Combat, as well as the
recipient of the Purple Heart, for wounds received in Combat.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10 am
Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd Calverton, NY

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in John’s honor, to the Wounded Warrior
