Harry Breimann

harry breimann
Harry Breimann, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and honorable veteran, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 8, 2025, at the age of 90. A lifelong resident of Smithtown, NY, Harry was known for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and country. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Breimann, who stood by his side throughout their many years together. He was the proud father of five children: son Wayne (and Joan) Breimann, daughters Denise (and Chris) Gill, Alison Breimann, and son Roy Breimann. He cherished his role as a grandfather to his grandson, Matthew Gill. Additionally, he was an honorary father to Rose Paige and her two sons and five grandchildren. Harry served his country with distinction as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to aviation as an Air Traffic Controller Supervisor, continuing to contribute to the field through consulting work for the FAA after his retirement. Harry’s final resting place will be at Pinelawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Harry’s memory to a charity of your choice. Harry will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

  1. Harry was like a Dad to me. I don’t have a single Vermont memory camping without him in it. His love for family and friends was undeniable. He was one of the most generous people I know. He was my adopted Dad (it was our joke between us) I will miss him terribly. I know he is up in heaven with Wayne fishing and boating. RIP Dad love you

  2. To the family,
Having memories of Mr.B bringing Denise to campus for college with all her stuff. Always a nice word for everyone, and definitely the patriarch of the family.
RIP and may God continue being with the family. He will be missed.
