Born in: Queens, NY
Resided in: Raleigh, NC

Christopher A. Madonna (Chris), aka “The Count”, passed peacefully on August 19, holding the hand of his loving wife, Mary.
A resident of Smithtown for 5 decades, Chris dedicated his life to helping others through his insurance business, serving as a leader for the Long Island Tigers Baseball Team, being active at school and church functions for his two children and honoring our military, being a former member of the Army Reserves.
Chris’s favorite saying, “Be persistent, consistent and follow through to a reasonable conclusion” was at the heart of his guidance to others, especially his family. Never one to back down, Chris stayed mentally active, engaged and helpful to all who needed sage advice.
For those who visited his home for business or pleasure, Chris never let them leave without following them to their car with a story, kind word or sincere hope for wellness in their lives. With his knack for putting people at ease, many were comfortable opening up about the most intimate details of their lives to him.
Chris is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, numerous relatives and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation on Chris’ behalf to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
